Intrepid Spirit Center Fort Campbell

The Intrepid Spirit Center (ISC) Fort Campbell provides holistic, patient-centered interdisciplinary traumatic brain injury (TBI) and brain health care, research, and education for Department of Defense (DOD) beneficiaries.

It officially opened its doors on Sept. 8, 2014, and is a proud Member Site of the Defense Intrepid Network for TBI and Brain Health (Defense Intrepid Network)

The ISC Fort Campbell team works with the service member and their family to develop a treatment plan to return the service member to the highest possible level of function in their work, home, family and community.

How to Make an Appointment

ISC Fort Campbell is a referral guided treatment center. Your primary care provider can request a consult by calling the clinic at 270-412-5114. There's provider-to-provider contact on all STAT, ASAP, and 72-hour consults.

For an electronic consult, you'll need the following information:
  • Pertinent history and physical findings.
    • History must include:
      • Event(s)
      • Injury symptoms
      • Treatment received.
    • Physical findings should include:
      • A basic neurological exam
      • MACE results
      • Other testing performed, if available
  • A working diagnosis
  • A brief history regarding length of treatment at the primary care level and any failed treatment modalities.

Clinical Programs

ISC Fort Campbell provides TBI and brain health care to DOD beneficiaries utilizing the Intrepid Network’s holistic, patient-centered interdisciplinary model of care. This includes traditional rehabilitation, medical, neurological, and behavioral health services combined with integrative health interventions and skills-based training.

Critical to this model is a co-located team at each site which expedites diagnostic evaluations and delivers a collaborative individualized treatment plan.

Clinical programs offered by ISC Fort Campbell include:
  • Acute Concussion Clinic
Patients must be evaluated by another healthcare provider first to ensure there are no emergent symptoms that need immediate attention. Patients cannot self-refer to the ACC. The goals of the program are to manage and decrease the patient's post-concussive symptoms and to educate the patient and their family on best rehabilitative steps to return the patient to pre-concussive functioning.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program
The ISC Fort Campbell provides integrated, multi-and inter-disciplinary care for service members who have sustained a concussion. The team works together with the service member, his/her family, and his/her command to develop a treatment plan to return the service member to the highest level of function at work, home, and within the community. Our clinical team utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to help each patient by equipping them with the information, knowledge, and skills necessary to manage TBI symptoms.
  • Pain Management Clinic
Pain management providers include physicians, mid-level providers, registered nurses, clinical pharmacists, and technicians who evaluate and treat patients experiencing pain issues. They create a multimodal treatment plan that may include integrative treatment modalities and interventional medicine.
  • Sleep Clinic
The Fort Campbell Intrepid Sleep Center is an eight-bed referral based full-service sleep center located in Building 2524.
