During the current lapse in government appropriations, you may continue to get care or attend currently scheduled appointments with your civilian providers. Your usual out-of-pocket costs will apply.

You may also continue to fill prescriptions at military pharmacies, retail network pharmacies, and home delivery.

However, TRICARE may not be able to process or pay medical claims for services received until funding is restored. The Defense Health Agency is also working with our TRICARE contractors to communicate with healthcare providers on potential delays in payment.

    • If you are denied care or informed services are suspended, please contact TRICARE East customer service Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM (ET and CT) at (800) 444-5445.

Health Services

Department of Women's Health

The Department of Women’s Health includes the Women’s Health Clinic (OB/GYN)Labor and Delivery Unit, Mother-Baby Unit and Special Care Nursery. The Department of Women’s Health provides a wide spectrum of health care by obstetrical and gynecological specialty physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, nationally certified obstetrical registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants and administrative staff.

The Women’s Health Clinic provides classes on breastfeeding, childbirth preparation and Daddy Boot Camp for new fathers. For wellness classes, please see our current schedule.

New OB patients, excluding Active Duty Service Members, may self-refer to the Women’s Health Clinic with a positive pregnancy test, including a positive home pregnancy test. To self-refer, women will need to call the BACH Women's Health Department to complete an initial screening questionnaire which will be used to determine if they are high risk or possibly need any further testing at the time of intake. After the completion of the questionnaire and pending the results, women will have their first appointment scheduled. Please refer to BACH’s Outpatient Visitor's Policy during COVID-19 prior to visiting the clinic.

Go to http://go.usa.gov/xZE9W to open a web-based Women's Health Portal that provides access to information and tools to facilitate readiness and gynecologic care in both the deployed and garrison settings.
