Fisher House

The Fort Campbell Fisher House is one of nearly 100 comfort homes built by the Fisher House Foundation to provide low-cost lodging to families and friends of patients receiving medical care in military and VA hospitals. Our local house was gifted to Fort Campbell in 2006 and is operated under the MEDCOM Army Fisher House program. 

Conveniently located at the hospital entrance from Air Assault Street, guests are within a 2-minute walk to Blanchfield’s ‘A’ entrance. This makes it easy for families to come and go as needed, without having to leave the installation. Guests pay nothing to stay; lodging fees are currently being paid by the Fisher House Foundation. 
 
Each family is assigned a private guestroom with an accessible bathroom. The house is fully furnished, and common areas include a kitchen, laundry room, family room, dining room, and a cozy library. These shared spaces provide the added benefit of being in a family environment, and guest interaction is encouraged!    

Eligible guests are families with patients receiving care through Blanchfield or the local VA clinics. Requests for lodging are by referral using the Army Fisher House (AFH) Referral and must be submitted by your provider, case manager, hospital chaplain or social worker or a member of your chain of command (if active duty).  All check-ins will take place during normal business hours. Referrals may be submitted up to 2 weeks in advance; when requesting a same-day check-ins, please submit referrals by 3 p.m.  

*Pet policy: while we understand pets and ESAs are part of the family, they are not permitted at Army Fisher Houses. Service dogs are welcome and should be noted on the referral form as a guest or in the special requests field.
