Educational & Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS)
The Educational and Developmental Intervention Services provides developmental services to children birth to age 3 years old who live on Fort Campbell by helping parents and caregivers encourage their infant and toddler’s learning during typical day-to-day activities. Infants and toddlers who are determined eligible for our program and who live on post, such as active duty military or a DoD civilians, receive services.
The Fort Campbell EDIS team consists of early childhood specialists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapy. Infants and toddlers learn best in their natural environments so EDIS providers come to your home. Visits focus on sharing and showing parents strategies to help your child progress developmentally and are guided by parent concerns. The EDIS team partners with parents and their infants or toddler to help to enhance your their little one's ability to communicate, problem solve, develop their motor and self-help skills, and build positive relationships.
