Health Services

Mental Health & Substance Abuse

Everyone reacts to stress and traumatic experiences differently. While some have reactions that can be seen as normal responses to life events, others may experience signs or symptoms of more serious conditions.

Mental health and substance use conditions can affect anyone; you are not alone. The Military Health System has many resources available to help those who need it.
If you or someone you know needs support now, call or text 988 or chat at 988Lifeline.org. 988 connects you with a trained crisis counselor who can help.

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

The Department of Behavioral Health offers Adult Behavioral Health services to Active Duty service members who are assigned to non-tenant units at Fort Campbell. In addition, Embedded Behavioral Health is available to active duty Soldiers within their combat brigades. An Intensive Outpatient Program supports Soldiers who can benefit from a more in-depth outpatient program, focusing on their unique needs

Other services within the department include Emergency Behavioral Health, Inpatient Behavioral Health, Child and Family Behavioral Health System, School Behavioral Health, Child and Family Psychiatry Service, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Family Advocacy Program.

Child and Family Behavioral Health does not offer walk-in services at this time.

Army Substance Abuse Program

The Fort Campbell Army Substance Abuse Program supports the entire command, Service Members, and military community by providing unit and personnel readiness, quality of life regarding substance abuse deterrence efforts, community education and prevention programs, identification, and rehabilitation to meet future needs. The program objectives deter Soldiers from abusing drugs (including illegal drugs, prescription drugs and other illicit drugs) by conducting Smart Testing.
  • Allow Commanders to assess the security, military fitness, good order and discipline of their unit.
  • Advising the Garrison Commander regarding actions having an impact on achieving a Drug-Free Federal Workplace for Civilian employees.
  • Notifying the ASAP Program Manager of employees with positive urinalysis test results.
