During the current lapse in government appropriations, you may continue to get care or attend currently scheduled appointments with your civilian providers. Your usual out-of-pocket costs will apply.
 
You may also continue to fill prescriptions at military pharmacies, retail network pharmacies, and home delivery.
 
However, TRICARE may not be able to process or pay medical claims for services received until funding is restored. The Defense Health Agency is also working with our TRICARE contractors to communicate with healthcare providers on potential delays in payment.

Inpatient Services

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital offers a 47-bed inpatient service in five different settings. Inpatient services include Ambulatory/Same Day Surgery, Medical Surgical Ward, Inpatient Behavioral Health, Intensive Care Unit, and the Mother-Baby Unit. The Labor, Delivery, and Recovery Unit team partners with the patient and family to support the birth of their newborn baby while focusing on each individual's personal and medical needs.​
 

Surgery

In General Surgery, new patient appointments are referred by a Primary Care Manager while follow-up appointments are arranged by calling the General Surgery Clinic. BACH offers many surgical services that can be completed within one workday that do not require the patient to stay overnight. All Same Day Surgery procedures are scheduled through the specialty clinics.
