Fort Campbell Intrepid Spirit Center

The Intrepid Spirit’s primary mission is clinical care. It function as a portal for the most complex patients to access interdisciplinary assessment and intensive outpatient rehabilitation with behavioral health and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) as dual centers of gravity, including those for mTBI, behavioral health, Integrated Pain Management Clinic, addictions medicine, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and Soldier Recovery Units (SRUs).The Intrepid Spirit serves as an interdisciplinary, integrated, holistic and collaborative assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation program for patients with complex, co-morbid medical conditions, particularly those with PTSD and/or post-concussive symptoms.

Intrepid Spirit personnel operationally supports existing programs, including those for mTBI, behavioral health, Integrated Pain Management Clinic, addictions medicine, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and SRUs. Additionally, the Intrepid Spirit team partners with the Veterans Affairs to ensure continuity of long-term care. The team integrates existing DoD TBI and behavioral health programs, facilitating enhanced capability, collaboration, and synchronization across multiple service lines, with the goal of enhancing existing programs. The Intrepid Spirit and Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic provide intensive TBI therapy.

It is important for patients to attend all appointments for the best results. Providers see patients on a referral basis only.

Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics (ANAM) testing
ANAM is a computer-based assessment and takes about 20 to 25 minutes to complete. The purpose of ANAM is to collect baseline information on performance that can be used if a Service Member has an injury affecting attention, memory, and thinking ability. It is a required assessment for all service members, DoD contractors and civilians prior to deployment. ANAM is best completed before going to Soldier Support Center to complete Soldier Readiness Processing and can be scheduled by calling 270-412-0237. Service Members are required to listen to a brief prior to the assessment. Briefings occur Monday through Friday, except for Federal Holidays, and are provided every half hour from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.
