BACH Conducts NCO Induction Ceremony

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital conducted an NCO Induction Ceremony, June 14, where Soldiers were formally welcomed into the U.S. Army’s Noncommissioned Officer Corps. NCO Induction Ceremony is a time-honored Army custom marking the transition of an individual Soldier to a leader in the NCO Corps. It's a formal recognition for new corporals and sergeants, marking their increased responsibility for training and leading junior enlisted Soldiers for a ready Force. To view more photos visit:

TVHS, Fort Campbell Dental Ribbon Cutting Celebrates New VA Dental Clinic

Daniel Dücker, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System executive director, Col. Jeffery Hambrice, U.S. Army Dental Health Activity-Fort Campbell commander, Dr. Donna Walls, TVHS chief of dental services, and Dr. Kennedy Germany, TVHS Dental Clinic local area supervisor, cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the Taylor VA Dental Clinic on Fort Campbell Wednesday, June 12.

BACH Mom & Me provides specialized support to military families

There was a party recently during Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s breastfeeding support group, Mom & Me. BACH outpatient certified lactation consultant Audrey Sundbye and Women’s Health Clinic nurse Gimmena Doolittle had a framed certificate and a graduation cap for one young member. Group moms and babies gathered round in support and a dinosaur birthday cake was nearby. Group participant U.S. Army Spc. Jacqueline Kerchner’s son turned 1-year old and reached the 12-month milestone for breast feeding.

BACH ICU joins DHA’s Joint Tele-Critical Care Network

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital is the latest military treatment facility in the Military Health System to join the Defense Health Agency’s Joint Tele-Critical Care Network. The JTCCN virtually integrates 24/7 access to highly skilled critical care physicians, or intensivists, from DHA medical centers, or “hubs”, like Naval Medical Center San Diego and Brook Army Medical Center, with “satellite” intensive care units at nearly 20 military treatment facilities worldwide.

BACH Partners with Skyline Medical Center

BACH leadership signed a trial training agreement with TriStar Skyline Medical Center November 9, 2022, allowing Maj. Timothy Horrell, a general surgeon with BACH, to work and train along side Skyline employees. This partnership will benefit the Soldier medical providers through experiencing varied medical emergencies our surgeons don't often see at BACH.

New Army policy better enables victims to report sexual assault

A new policy recently implemented by the Army is designed to help remove possible barriers that may prevent Soldiers from reporting sexual assault. Army Directive 2022-10, Safe-to-Report for Victims of Sexual Assault, provides sexual assault victims certain protections from disciplinary action for minor collateral misconduct that may be associated with the sexual assault incident.

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) formally established the Southwest Kentucky Market, a critical milestone in once-in-a-generation Military Health System reform efforts to improve the readiness of the force and the health care service provided to warfighters, retirees and military families, on July 26, 2021. Southwest Kentucky Market will enable greater collaboration across military hospitals and clinics in the Southwest Fort Campbell, Kentucky region to strengthen the medical readiness of service members and enable these facilities to deliver better care and a better patient experience.
